Terms and conditions regarding the use of our service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for the use of services provided by Learning Community (hereinafter referred to as "the Service").

Article 1 (Application)

These Terms apply to all relationships between users and the Service regarding the use of the Service.

Article 2 (Registration)

Registration is completed when the applicant applies for registration in the manner prescribed by the Service and the Service approves the application.

The Service may not approve a registration application if the applicant is found to have any of the following reasons:

  • If false information was provided at the time of registration
  • If the application is from a person who has previously violated these Terms
  • If the Service otherwise determines that registration is not appropriate

Article 3 (Management of User ID and Password)

Users must properly manage their user ID and password for the Service at their own responsibility.

Under no circumstances may users transfer, lend, or share their user ID and password with a third party.

Article 4 (Usage Fees and Payment Methods)

The basic features of the Service are provided free of charge. However, some additional services may be offered at a cost.

Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)

Users must not engage in the following activities when using the Service:

  • Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Acts related to criminal activity
  • Acts that infringe upon intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks, contained in the Service
  • Acts that destroy or interfere with the server or network functions of the Service, other users, or third parties
  • Acts of commercially exploiting information obtained from the Service
  • Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  • Acts of collecting or accumulating personal information of other users
  • Acts of using the Service for fraudulent purposes
  • Acts that directly or indirectly provide benefits to antisocial forces
  • Any other acts that the Service deems inappropriate

Article 6 (Suspension of Service Provision)

The Service may suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service without prior notice to users if any of the following reasons are identified:

  • When performing maintenance or updates on computer systems related to the Service
  • When provision of the Service becomes difficult due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
  • When computers or communication lines are disrupted due to an accident
  • When the Service otherwise determines that provision of the Service is difficult

Article 7 (Usage Restrictions and Deregistration)

The Service may restrict all or part of a user's access to the Service or cancel the user's registration without prior notice if the user falls under any of the following:

  • If the user violates any provision of these Terms
  • If false information is found in the registration details
  • If there is a failure to fulfill payment obligations such as fees
  • If there is no response to communication from the Service for a certain period
  • If the Service has not been used for a certain period since the last use
  • If the Service otherwise determines that use of the Service is not appropriate

Article 8 (Withdrawal)

Users may withdraw from the Service by following the withdrawal procedures established by the Service.

Article 9 (Disclaimer of Warranties)

The Service does not warrant, either expressly or implicitly, that the Service is free from defects in fact or law (including defects related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors, bugs, and infringement of rights).

Article 10 (Changes to Service Content)

The Service may change, add, or discontinue the content of the Service with prior notice to users, and users agree to this.

Article 11 (Changes to Terms of Service)

The Service may change these Terms without individual consent of users in the following cases:

  • When the change to these Terms is in the general interest of users
  • When the change to these Terms does not conflict with the purpose of the service agreement and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the change, the appropriateness of the revised content, and other circumstances related to the change

Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information)

The Service handles personal information obtained through the use of the Service appropriately in accordance with the Service's "Privacy Policy."

Article 13 (Notices and Communications)

Notices and communications between users and the Service shall be made by the method prescribed by the Service.

Article 14 (Prohibition of Transfer of Rights and Obligations)

Users may not transfer or pledge their contractual status or any rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without the prior written consent of the Service.

Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.

In the event of a dispute arising in connection with the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Service's principal office shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
